I’m trying to cut back on sodas. Not only are they bad for your health, the mid-afternoon sugar crash was literally killing my buzz.
Luckily, I love Perrier! It’s a wonderful way to get a little bit of bubble without all the added sugar of sodas. Every once in a while, though, I crave just a little bit of sweetness in my drink. I don’t want to compromise by reaching over for the cola, so I’ve come up with a few tricks to spruce up my bev.
I like to add a few slices of strawberry and pour the perrier into my favorite glass. When I don’t have strawberries, I use lime.
The trick is not to use too much lime or else you’ll flatten out the bubbles!
The bubbles aren’t for everyone- Babyface isn’t a fan. This tip works for flat water too. 🙂
Other ingredients I use to freshen up my cup are:
- lemon
- lime
- orange
- maraschino cherries
- mango
- cucumber
- mint
- basil
Next time you’re thinking of reaching for that can of cola, consider a natural alternative. Not only will it taste better, you’ll notice the sugar crash vanish! Give it a try.
