It has been another busy week!
Last Wednesday, I posted Chapter Two. If you haven’t read it yet, now is the perfect time to get caught up! I will be posting Chapter Three tomorrow. 🙂 Get ready to be confused, because this one is gunna be a WHOPPER!
If you’ve been keeping up with my scopes, you already know that this story is loosely based on my life. I won’t tell you exactly where “I” fit in to the story, but I’ll hint at when to start looking. The first couple chapters are foundational, so they may read like a premise once the work comes together.
Thursday was my birthday!! It was a very busy day indeed. I spent the morning in reflection over the last few centuries of my life. 499 is a huge year. We all know I’m really looking forward to the big 496 in 20/20, though.
I think this was the day that we came up with the big idea for 4/20/20. I need to add a section to the website for that. Get a special VIP list going for my favorite friends. 😉 You all have time to secure a spot! Goals.
Babyface picked me up for lunch and we had In-N-Out- a consummate craving. After I dropped him off at the office, I headed over to an event at The Weed place. Heavy Hitters (among other vendors) were celebrating 4/20. There was complimentary valet, food and even slushies.
HH was walking out when I was walking in, but I still managed to get the hook up. There’s a reason HH is regarded as my favorite vape brand. Customer services beside, they really do have a quality product and I always recommend them.
I was fortunate to meet Jesse at that event. He works in film and had some thoughts on my premiere youtube video. We are having him, and my consultant Don over for dinner tomorrow to talk about it.
I’ve been promising you guys a channel, and it’s slow cooking… but that just means that the seasoning is really gettin in there… all juicy! Muahahahaha.
Anyway, I ended up taking the wrong turn on Supulveda and caught traffic on the PCH. Can’t complain too much about that though. It was such a beautiful day! If you catch my snapchats ( @thehazelverse ), you saw a glimmer of it’s magnificence… although you can never fully capture beauty on film.
Thursday was ALSO the day that Babyface bought us tickets for The Willows, which is based on Clue (the movie, not the board game). Those of you that have been paying attention know that that is one of my all time favorite films. (I swear, y’all could play Hazel Trivia with all my random facts! Hahaha. )
I got the call about the tickets just as I was pulling in to my favorite overlook. It was a goal of mine to go on a hike and pick up trash on my birthday. Unfortunately, due to time and traffic, I was only able to go on a stroll. Still, I go there a lot and am invested in keeping it clean!
I definitely feel like one must have a sense of ownership over their direct environment. When I say that I mean that if you see a need, you shouldn’t hesitate to take the lead. If there is trash on the ground (and your hands aren’t full, or something), pick it up. Don’t wish someone would have thrown it away, and keep walking.
If you aren’t contributing to a solution, (generally) you’re contributing to a problem.
After the overlook, I picked Babyface up from the office and we chilled by the hot tub. You all know by now how obsessed I am with the Vons Monopoly Game. I know it’s a lost cause, but in this one respect, so am I. I am just SOOOOO close on like, every section- it’s killing me. Almost as much as it kills me to not use an entire game “piece.” I don’t use more than I do (did you follow that?).
Friday someone told me about the movie Interspace. I watched it. I love Martin Short. Was this the movie that Osmosis Jones was based on? It felt so familiar. I also watched Devil’s Carnival, by Darren Lynn Bousman (for research).
Friday was the day I broke the seal on the disposable. I’m 50/50 on it so far. I don’t completely hate it, but it still feels too plasticy for me.
Saturday Babyface took me to our winery. We had so much fun listening to music and dancing. We were going to go clubbing but when we got home, Babyface passed out. I figured I’d let him sleep for a while. When he woke up, we decided to stay in and “netflix and chill.” Do people still say that?
Sunday we last minute decided to do Dapper Day at Disneyland. Babyface took me shopping for the perfect dress, and we headed straight off to the happiest place on earth. We took some marvelous photos. I still need to work out how to post pictures the way I want to on here. I am so tech challenged and there just aren’t enough hours in a day!
Everyone looked so cute! I think my favorite part of the day was having all the confetti seemingly aimed at my lap at the end of The Magical Map. I geek out so hard over that show… AND Babyface had packed me the most delish snack… Cheese and Kiwi. 🙂
Monday was the first time I ever saw a rat get eaten by a snake. Or any other animal eat an animal like that… C had posted a scope of him feeding his pet snake. (I shared the post on my twitter). It was very enlightening, and oddly, helped with my fear of snakes. I feel like I need to expose myself to more of that kind of stuff… I was never huge on that side of the Nat Geo channel.
Today was another busy busy day! Busy can be good though… as long as it’s directed/focused.
I had the most peaceful meditation at Paradise Cove. There was no signal, but I did record it. I knew I would have to learn how to edit at some point… I guess that point is this week. Unless I can talk Jesse in to helping me with it tomorrow. 🙂 haha
If you follow me on snap, you know how the rest of the day went. If you don’t… why aren’t you?? Get on that.
Lovingly,
H
